Peppermint Candy

I feel like this was probably the hardest thing I've ever tried to paint!

I actually worked on this for two sessions instead of one so probably a total of four hours.

A year from now I'm going to try to paint this again and I'm going to nail it!

In the meantime if anyone has any kind of suggestions on how to solve a problem like this and please let me know With a comment. Please!!!

  1. I truly think you did a great little painting.
It says exactly what it is.
The only thing I can tell you on how to paint anything better...or easier, is to paint it again and again until you nail it.

  2. Julie, thank you so much for your comment. It means a lot coming from you, too because I know and admire your work.

I get frustrated because I want to be there NOW! (Patience is not one of my inherent virtues), but I am determined to keep at it.

Thanks again for your stopping in and commenting... it really means a lot!

  3. What Julie said. It is a great little painting. Keep painting and you'll start having breakthroughs. The breakthroughs are what keep me coming back - they are addictive. :-)

PS. Thanks for your comment yesterday. I wrote down a few thoughts on today's post. It felt good to talk about it, actually.

BTW, it is a nice painting and you are not that far off. Just needs some minor tweaks In edges and you are there.
